The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are now open and may shut on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to fulfill the subsequent criteria:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a home by using a combined gross domestic income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent people from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
